Talex App Labs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Language Learning Android applications ("the App") collect, use, and protect your information.

By downloading and using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

We designed the App to respect your privacy. The App does not require you to create an account, nor do we actively collect, store, or share your personal identifying information (such as your name, address, or phone number) on our servers.

Local Data Storage

Your learning progress, bookmarks, and settings are stored locally on your device's internal storage using secure Android databases (Room). If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this locally stored information will be deleted.

Third-Party Service Providers

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device or serve App content. The third-party services used by the App include:

Google Play Services: Used for app delivery, crash reporting, and base functionality.
Google Play Billing: Used to process in-app purchases.
Firebase Storage (Google): Used to securely download language assets, audio files, and lesson content to your device. Firebase may collect basic device and network information (like IP addresses) to securely route and deliver these files.

2. Permissions We Request

To provide you with a seamless language learning experience, the App requires certain Android permissions. We only request permissions essential to the App's core functionality:

Internet & Network State (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required to download language lessons, audio files, and verify your subscription status.
Media Playback & Foreground Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK, WAKE_LOCK): Required to play language audio lessons in the background. This allows you to listen to pronunciation and lessons even when your screen is locked or you are using other apps.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send you daily learning reminders or updates. You can manage or disable these notifications at any time in your device settings.
Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): Required to securely handle Google Play in-app purchases (Freemium Pro upgrades).

3. In-App Purchases and Billing

The App operates on a "Freemium" model. We offer an optional "Pro" version accessible via in-app purchases (Weekly, Annual, or Lifetime options).

We do not process or store your payment information. All transactions are securely processed by the Google Play Store using the Google Play Billing Library. We only receive an anonymous digital receipt from Google to verify your Pro status and unlock premium features.

4. Advertising

The App is 100% Ad-Free. We do not use third-party advertising networks, nor do we track your behavior across other apps and websites to serve you targeted advertisements. Our sole source of revenue is through our Pro in-app purchases.

5. Security

We value your trust in using our App. We use industry-standard libraries and architectures (such as Jetpack Compose, Hilt, and secure media players) to ensure the app runs safely and securely on your device. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is safe for general audiences, including children. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, track users for advertising, or require account creation, the App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has somehow provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our App's features, third-party services, or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
